IWC Aquatimer marine timepiece series watches, diving was still an emerging sport at that time, and the name of the marine timepiece has become the code name for diving. In this regard, it remains the same today.
The diver's watch from Schaffhausen takes the new Aquatimer 2000 automatic watch as the basic style, replaced it with a new shape and reached the top. This not only refers to its ability to withstand pressures of up to 200 bar, but also refers to its 44 mm enlarged case diameter. Because in the water, the larger the size, the clearer the reading. The newly developed rotating diving outer ring replaces the previous inner ring and is the main feature of the new face of the Aquatimer series in 2010. From a technical point of view, the new Aquatimer 2000 automatic watch-like its predecessor-is equipped with a reliable 30110 automatic movement. The watch has a date display, and the crown can be pulled out (screw in for normal operation) to stop the second hand for adjustment.
Both watches have bracelets and straps to choose from: the practical and robust IWC stainless steel bracelet system, or the black rubber strap with a pin buckle. The new Aquatimer marine timepiece series also uses an innovative bracelet quick-change system: the lock located on the inner side of the bracelet or strap can be opened by pressing with your fingers, allowing the bracelet or strap to be replaced within seconds. In addition, you can use the same method to select a buckle extension strap to easily wear the watch outside the diving suit.
